A Gem

 Hidden in a small University City Von's shopping center is a truly wonderful little Italian restaurant that clearly ranks with the best in the county. You can go to La Jolla, Del Mar or anywhere up or down the coast and be hard pressed to match this gem. If you haven't eaten there yet you owe it to yourself. You won't be disappointed. I don't think there is a dud on the menu.
My 17 year old son joined us one evening before a game when he was not in the mood for Italian. He ordered a chicken pizza and became an instant believer. He says its the best pizza he's ever had. I won't go through the menu with you, you can ask the waiters. They are very helpful without being bothersome. I would suggest you try switching to angel hair pasta from the regular offering but that's just a personal preference. You won't be disappointed in any event. Prices are not cheap but are definitely fair.

Lorna's has great food. The pizzas are good. the salads are to die for. Pastas are good. Elegant but not too much, still just an around the corner pizza place. Don't forget to try some desert! yum! and not too expensive.

Our family has been dining at Lorna's for years and it is always a pleasure to return. The menu is varied and you will find items that appeal to all tastes, young and old. Servings are generous and very tasty! Great place to take the entire family.

When our family from NY visits, we take them to Lorna's. Any other time, we order in delivery or go there for a nice neighborhood experience. Love it. Love it. Never had anything bad in 8 years.

If you love Italian food, this place is a must. I have found this place as a college student in SD. Now that I am away, first chance I visit SD, I must go back and eat there. I haven't found a place anything comparable to Lorna's. Food is great!

Homemade, and no dishes to do!

Delicious food. Joy's Tortelloni melts in your mouth. The fresh baked bread is soft and warm when its served to the table.
Closes a little early, but the wait is never long to get a table. Outdoor seating is nice even in cold weather due to patio heaters. |
